One Act Play Festival - 2008

Calling Notice for 2008 RAFTA One-act Play Festival

This year’s Festival will be held in the Juliana Goss Theatre at RAF Lyneham from Friday 23rd May to Sunday 25th May. The adjudicator will be Chris Jaeger, Chairman of the Guild of Drama Adjudicators.

Representatives of those clubs which intend to enter are requested to contact me by email (preferred) or by post. There is no need at this stage to state what play you will be performing. Please include your preferred POC, email and postal addresses and home/work/mobile telephone numbers.

Please note the following:

All competing clubs must be affiliated to RAFTA at the start of the Festival
There is no Service accommodation available at Lyneham. A list of local hotels, B and Bs etc can be found at the top of the page.

The intended timetable is as follows:

Friday 29th February Deadline for receipt of intention to enter
Friday 7th March Paperwork sent out to those who have notified intention to enter
Friday 25th April Deadline for receipt of entry forms and associated paperwork
Friday 2nd May Publication of “final” running order form familiarisations and performances
Friday 23rdMay Familiarisations start early afternoon, running until about 2230
Sat/Sun 24th/25th May Remaining familiarisations and performances

The Festival will end at about 1730 on the Sunday
